Beware of Hitachi Plasm TV

We purchased a Hitachi 42-inch Plasma TV. Two months after our warranty period had expired, the power pack failed and the TV would no longer come on. The repair was $450. Two months later the remote no longer worked either.
We will never purchase another Hitachi product.
