I signed up for what I thought was a no strings attached work from home internet link for 2.95 and 5 days later, today, they debited my account for 139.95! I called them and they told me that there was a 5 day trial period clearly started on the electronic info I read and signed and I said I do not remember seeing anything like that I would have certainly remembered seeing that you were going to charge me 139.95 after 5 days. Basically he said too bad. Sorry. I told him I was going to file every complaint I could against their company and tell everyone I knew about this. I am beyond furious.

That happened to me too. I called and they couldn't refund the full amount. The rep spoke to a Supervisor and assured me that they can only refund $70 and will cancel the subscription. If I didn't call, each month would've been billed $39.95. Now I can't get the full amount back. I was just simply browsing the site and possibly had signed up for the trial as well. I never went back in to actually read the rest of the website and yet I was charged the full subscription. I don't know how I can get the amount back in my account.

i had the same experience. They refused to refund my money. then I called and asked for mailing address because I was going to file a complaint with the better business bureau and they said that there is no contact information. when asked how I contact who owns the company they said by email. when i asked for the email they said they could not give that out. I am having my credit card dispute the charge, will be filing a complaint and contacting my attrney

you stup*d D*mb a*ses should be ashamed of yourselves you're too old to act so immature and irresponsible. Before you all sign up for something READ the "TERMS AND CONDITIONS" first

I also signed up for the free trial cost of 2.95 and then the took 139.95 out of my bank account. I contacted them today and requested a full refund. After 30 minutes being switched around, I spoke to Dana Smith, rep. 118'and was told I would get a full refund in 5 days. The number I called was 800/422-1949. Now it is a waiting game to see if it comes through. Otherwise, a fraud report will be filed with Better Business, etc.

This is such a rip off, the woman from mentor should be ashamed of herself. She is so much a liar, this is a total scam. you don't find out total cost until you give your credit card, called right away to cancel and they had already took it out of my account. what a rip, they said it is cancelled, we'll see.
b2674099, 2010-09-05, 11:05PM CDT
Me too. I was so angry when I saw the charge of 139.95 made to my account. I talked to the company rep, she first said that they can only refund $40. Then after my argument, she said $70, and it is the final refund that they can make. It is surely a scam. I called up my bank and block my credit card. I will get a new credit card since they already got my card information. I am also beyond furious too. I hope there could be a way to call up some organization to sue this company. It is totally a fraud!

I was also ripped off by this scam. they charged me $2.97 for info i never recieved. on top of that they charged me $139.95 that i didnt know about.called and at first they told me it was non refundable. after i told them that i was going to turn them in to the better bussiness beauro they said they would refund me $70.00 and when ididnt accept that they told me they could only refund as much as $100.00. i gave up and took that. the article i read was from a lady in sylacauga, al. and she was supposed to be making good money. if i could find her i would get the rest of my money.

I signed up for what I thought would be a terrific opportunity to start my own business from home. Unfortunately, after signing up, I discovered the report warning people against trusting The Direct Commerce Academy. They did take out the 2.95 from my account. I will be sure not to deposit any funds into my account to insure that they don't take any more funds from that account, and I will notify my bank regarding the same. I thank you and in the future I will research before giving any information and trusting that these people are honest and really want to help someone get started at working from home.

I too, went on this website on Aug28, 2010 not thinking anything bad was going to happen to my checking account. On September 9th 2010 i noticed my checking account was not right. I went on-line to see what was wrong nand found that Direct Commerce Academy withdrew $139.95 from my checking account. I called them and this is what they said, " Oh well, you accepted and we cant do anything about it". I said i will take legal action if they dont refund my money. I WILL!!!

I too got spammed by these crooks. After an exhaustive telephone call to them they did offer to refund me $70 but I am still out $74.06. I am filing a police report & if I don't receive the $70 credit then VISA will pursue the full amount. FYI - If you accept partial refund then VISA will not pursue it any further unless you never receive the refund but they need a police report to do this.

I, also, fell for this scam unfortunately. I am usually much more savvy than this, but this one fooled me too. When I discovered the $139.95 missing from my bank account, I called them to confront them about this. Although it is true that the terms and conditions is printed, you don't see them until after you have already given you card information, and they are in such tiny print that they are easily missed. The entire ad link talks about all you are going to get for a mere(and it does say repeatedly ONLY $2.97 one time fee). What they don't tell you is that you have to pay to set up the website, then pay again to set up a domain name, and the list goes on and on, all while they continue to rob your bank account on a monthly basis for $39.95, plus the $139.95 fee. I spoke with Danielle (she refused to give her last name or rep #) and she informed me that I would be cancelled immediately and receive a refund of $70. Her reason for not allowing a full refund was that supposedly, they can't stop us from continuing to access the material paid for once we paid the $139.95...that we could basically access it for free now, thus, the company cannot give a full refund. After much research, I have found that this company has lifted what probably amounts to millions from hard-working Americans' bank accounts, and of course, they will refund $70...that still means that from each person who demands a refund, they have still cleared $69.95 for doing absolutely nothing for the customer. If you ask me, that is a heck of a profit. Danielle also informed me that the company was BBB accredited, which is bull. The only listing the BBB even has for Direct Commerce Academy is in Dover, DE, and it is an unaccredited company in that state. The phone number I called was in Utah, but this company is actually based in Belize. They have call centers set up here in the US so that they can claim to be an American-based company. It would serve them right if everyone ever scammed by them continued to use the information that Danielle claims can still be accessed to make money, although I am entirely sceptical that this can be done. When I told Danielle I was filing a complaint with every facility and consumer website that I could find, including the BBB, she said "go ahead...you won't be the first." I suggest everyone who has ever been scammed by this company start a campaign against them...up to and including filing complaints with the federal government. Who knows? They may discover that this scam, like many others, is actually financing terrorism such as Al-Qaeda or another such group. Many such scams have been discovered based in Central America since 9/11.

The same thing happened to me. I called and got no where with them they did not want to refund the money so I went to my bank to report the fraud.
They had the nerve to call me a computer idiot when I called and then faked to have call conection problems.
753ffabb, 2010-09-15, 02:59PM CDT
I am in the situation, within minutes going on line, and deciding not to continue with the program, I logged off, checked my bank account, and learned they immediately took .99 cents off my account. I tried to contact them same time frame without success. Two days later another $139.95 was taken from me by Direct Commerce Academy. To date I have filed two fraud claims against Direct Commerce Academy and hoping for an amicable resolution accordingly.

Thank god i did some research online before accepting this offer from DCA as the person who called me was very persistant and said i will be charged only $2.97 to start and only $2.97 a month.Sounded to good to be true so if it does sound to good to be true it probably is.I was also told that the company was based in California but after reading all these articles from victims of this scam i aint giving them my credit card number.Sorry for your loss but thanks for revealing what they really are..
8ea734ab, 2010-09-20, 11:04AM CDT
did u ever get your full refund??
6b5440ff, 2010-09-30, 06:37PM CDT
Thank you so much for this I called them immediately after reading your article. You saved me $$$. That was not on the page I seen either. I took down the guys name and date and time and told him I would be calling my bank.
b132ff93, 2010-09-29, 08:44PM CDT
Happened to me today. I requested the information and had $1.97 taken out that day. The next day they took another $1.00 and I didn't think anything. Then today there was the $139.95. I called them and demanded a refund and when I threatened to call the BBB he laughed and told me to go ahead. I then called my bank and they had to wait until the transaction actually cleared and was not pending to put a stop on it. I also am going to mention that I want to make sure that the $39.95 monthly charge isn't taken out because I am not sure the subscription was cancelled as I did not get a confirmation email as I was told I would. The guy was such an ass that i wish I could reach through the phone and slap him!!!! I feel so stupid.
a3cd9d3b, 2010-09-30, 09:54AM CDT
Tons of similat complaints online. All add up to the same thing. A $139.95 ripoff. DCA claims the charges are clearly stated but I NEVER SAW THEM.
Tough to deal with I am fighting hard for my money.
07d55e0a, 2010-10-06, 09:36AM CDT
When I signed up they explained the one time payment of 139.95 and 39.99 monthly. So far everything is turning out perfectly.
6942a3f6, 2010-10-04, 01:08PM CDT
Well, being broke can come in handy, I guess. I too didn't get to the bottom of the terms & conditions page and so got scammed. But they only got the 39.95 because there was only slightly more than that in my acct. The phone call to stop the charges was a waste of time as they were worse than rude. So I had the bank cancel my debit card and ordered a new one. I'm out the $40 but it will stop there. I filed a police report. (I also responded to the original email with a virus) Hopefully one of the methods will work. We need a high tech person that can trace the money flow and then do a little vigilantly trip to Canada or Belize or where ever these guys are hiding.
11bd7a9a, 2010-10-05, 09:46AM CDT
This is exactly what happended to me. I called today and was told that they could not refund my money. I never saw the terms and conditions just as everyone else has stated. I think maybe the website is setup so you have to scroll down or something. I don't believe I checked a box agreeing to any type of terms and conditions. After much effort, I was told they would refund $40 to my account. I then googled "Direct Commerce academy" and found many complaints. One person was able to get a full refund of $139.95.
I called back and told the "3rd Party Company" that if one person received a full refund that I thought I should receive that as well. This 3rd party company will not give their name and will only state that they are "A third party customer service representative" for Direct Commerce Academy. They will not tell you the name of their company. The phone number is 800 422 1949. The manager I talked with is "Chris". The end result was that refunds are on a case-by-case basis. When I asked what made the full refund case any different than mine she asked me IF I HAD DIED!!! (what did she mean by that???) The end result of this conversation....Chris hung up on me!

Belowis a link to Direct Commerce Academy's BBB rating of F. They are not even a member of the BBB. I am working odd jobs, struggling to get by and was intrigued by the ad, which APPEARED to be affiliated with Google. Fortunately for me, I decided to call the number listed BEFORE giving my card number. This DOES indeed appear to be a scam. Included in the link below, for all people that got ripped off, are all the phone numbers and legal address of the company to hopefully get your money back. I hope this helps and sorry you guys got ripped off.

I read your complaints. Thanks for the heads up. I opened an account yesterday (10/5/10)and closed it today(10/6/10) and cancelled my credit card so that it woudn't be billed since it's nonrefundable. Thanks for the advice

Dispute the charge with your bank or credit card company.
9bd3d683, 2010-10-09, 04:38PM CDT
I know it's impossible to stay calm in this situation but IT WORKS!! Had my gf call because there is no way I could be rational and at first she was incredibly p**sed. She calmed down and apologized to the woman for losing her temper and she wasn't trying to be an a** but that was a lot of money. Made a comment about being a single mother and mentioned the BBB and a few minutes later the lady got on the phone to inform her the full amount would be refunded. So my advice is to let someone else call who isn't going to be so irate or try to remain as calm as possible.

This Kelly Richards that was supposed to make money was first listed as from Opelousas, La and now listed as from Laffayete, La. I have not made a dime. They (tech support) were real nice until I got a call wanting $1000 and I laughed at them, as I don't have that kind of money to through around. Now they are real short as to any questions that I need answers to.

Call ROI SOLUTIONS, LLC about your refund. This telemarketing company is hooked up to Direct Commerce Academy. The phone number to ROI is 866-747-8198 and ask for Robert Schow, President or Josh Brady CEO about the problem. The address to ROI Solutions is: 2519 Canyon Road, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062, email address, mail@365roi.com. I have submitted this information to many government officials such as FBI www.IC3.gov and the Attorney General in UT and hopefully they will be out of business. ROI also has many complaints on the internet. I lost $29.95 and won't lose any more. I will put this information out on the internet so many people will know what and who is behind the scams.
61493fe0, 2010-10-12, 06:05PM CDT
I appreciate this advise and I jumped all over it. After calling in and talking with both Robert and Josh, it was explained to me very clearly that these guys are NOT DCA and they can't do anything directly to give me my money back. They are merely a service partner of DCA... they don't merchant any of these funds (in other words they don't take the money from people... DCA themselves does)
f9e7ef18, 2010-10-13, 12:57PM CDT
That isnt how you get ahold of them. they are just fronting for the company itself...I tried to get ahold of "ROI" its not real. they are fronting for whatever call center the customer support line is.and this is such a joke. please someone tell me how I can get ahold of this company?
13f6c95c, 2010-10-15, 12:59PM CDT
I had this same thing happen to me. The email with this company's link came from a trusted friend's email address so I opened it thinking that it would be nice to earn a little extra money working from home and that my friend was passing this along to me. It also had an article linked to it from a news organization saying how well an individual in our own city was doing with this. When I went to the web site, I did see the $2.95 amount and entered my debit card information (like an idiot)and then got directed to a different area stating something about setting up my own web site and I quickly backed out of the site because this is not what I wanted to do. 5 days later--I get whamed with $139.9 charge. I called my bank and complained not even realizing where the charge was coming from and they ended up contact this Direct Commerce Academy. I was extremely upset but the indiviudal at DCA kept telling me about the disclosure...which I don't remember seeing. After much discussion, they did give me $100 credit but I think it was only because my bank was on the line too. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!! IT IS A SCAM and FRAUD!!!!!! Something needs to be done to stop them!

im am furious they told me my refund is on the way i am so freakin mad these people can not get away with this they said it does say 139.00 i dont remember seeing that
8a368934, 2010-10-15, 02:52PM CDT
I am on the phone right now in which they told me 10 business days ago that I would be recieving a refund. Today, the 10th day, I am now being told that they changed their minds and will not refund my money.
e6575494, 2010-10-18, 12:05AM CDT
I also signed up for this today, and I then called them 4 or 5 times. The first one told me to call back in 2 or 3 hours. The second one told me he can cancel it and I will receive a e-mail in 24 hours. The third one told me that I will receive it in a couple of hours. The forth time she told me I can't cancel it right now. So I am confused. Hope I will not get debited for 139.95!
0cd6cd5e, 2010-10-18, 09:11AM CDT
This company is ripping people off by the thousands. Someone from DCA hacked into my daughter's email address and sent me a message talking about a woman in Hollywood, FL (where I live) making money from home. Since I thought my daughter sent it, I thought it was legit. After agreeing to pay $2.97 to get more information, I found out that my daughter never sent it and in fact, never uses that email address any more. Five days later I was charged an additional $139.95.
You are right, like so many others, there was no mention of the $139.95. It is impossible that so many would not have seen it.
When I go back to my daughter's email and click on that link again (http://jociceramu.chat.ru/pemyku.html) - it doesn't take me to DCA any longer. It takes me to some Russian-looking site: http://www.chat.ru/system_missing.html
I told them I would report them to every consumer protection agency including the Federal Trade Commission. I would also report them to the BBB and major television and radio news stations. I was told I would receive full refund in 5-7 business days. I did not. I called them again. I was told they could file my request again but it would start the whole process over. I decided not to do that - that process is probably a never-ending one! I closed my credit card, reported DCA to Federal Trade Commission and BBB, plus my bank is doing a fraud investigation.
This is what the BBB had to say:
The BBB is unable to determine the physical location of this company. Representatives from the company have declined to provide information regarding where the business operates, but have advised the BBB that a 3rd party company named Go Fish Media Services, Inc (located in San Diego) handles all complaints/correspondence for Direct Commerce Academy.
Please don't give up. These thieves have to be stopped!!!!!
Today I will contact my local police for advice.
Good luck - don't give up!

I contacted Direct Commerce Academy, after the debited my account for 139.95. I advised them I never agreed to this. They said the 2.97 was for a 5 day trial only. I told them I wanted my money back. They agreed to send me 70.00 even giving me a confirmation # and stated I should have this credited back in 5-7 business days. After 2 weeks and not receiving any money, I called them again, and was told there was an error on their part, and at that time was given a transaction # for my bank and told it would be there in 48-72 hours. It has been a month now and after finally getting back through to them, they advised their corporate office declined the credit. I advised them I would be contacting the FBI Fraud division, and everyone else should also.

I am so glad I investigated this more after signing up with them last night. I have tried calling the customer service number they give you in the email after signing up along with the number, 877-875-6080, and was on hold for at least 10 minutes each before giving up and hanging up. I wanted to cancel before my 3 or 5 day trial was up, but if you can not get a hold of them, that is pretty much useless. So I called my credit card company and told them I had lost my card. They immediately canceled it and are issuing me another card with a new number. $2.97 lesson learned. I am so glad it was not a $139.95 more lesson. Thanks for the info everyone.

I signed up for a work at home business with Direct Commerce Academy for $2.97. The terms and conditions stated that I would be charged an immediate fee of $2.97 and that I would receive a packet in the mail. Five days later they charged my card $138.97. I called the customer service number and was treated very rudely and was lied to. I asked to speak to a supervisor at least 20 times and they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. The first guy I spoke with, Jared basically called me stupid and lied to me. When I asked him to speak with a supervisor he told me that he was the supervisor and that there wasn't anyone above him and that I wasn't getting my money back. I hung up and called right back and spoke with Keith, who told me there was nothing he could do because there was a 5 day trial period after which I would be charged $138.97 and that it was clearly stated in the terms and conditions. This is not true, that was not stated in the terms and conditions. He told me that I would not believe that amount of calls they receive from people with the same complaint. I told him that is because the fee is not stated in the terms and conditions and replied by saying that people just don't read. When I asked to speak with his supervisor he told me that she was busy and there was nothing they could do. DO NOT sign up with this so called company.
ca47beb8, 2010-10-21, 12:48PM CDT
You people are dumb. I have worked Visa dispute claims for several years. Yes, these merchants are obviously taking advantage of people, but only because they know people refuse to read the Terms and Conditions. Each "free trial" dispute I receive I'm able to go to the website and easily find the Terms and Conditions that CLEARLY state you will be charged a larger amount if neglect to cancel during the "trial period". Technically, the merchant didn't do anything wrong if they are telling you they are screwing you and you still decide to sign up! I can't believe so many people are illiterate, so I guess you are all just lazy.

I was also scammed into this and charged 3.97 at the same time should of only been 1.99. I accidently noticed the charge of 3.97 while monitoring my debit account to see if any of the pending transactions from another co. had been paid. This is when I noted the charge from DCA for 3.97. I got a feeling something could be up with them, so I did a search on DCA and wow what a eye opener with all the said help me complaints from others being charged for alot more than the 3.97 i got billed for. I sent a email to my debit company reguesting them to stop the pending transaction and any other future transactions from this co. DCA and then call the 800 number that was on the transaction DCA Online 8003964039 DF. I actualy got though to a lady that looked up my account asked me why i was canceling, I stated this was just not something I had time to get into at this time. She thanked me and said she would cancel my account and send me an email to that effect. I didn't ask for the 3.97 refund since it has not actually been paid, but if it is I can live with it and thank my luck star that I found out from all of you in time to stop any future transactions.
thank you and I wish everyone good luck wwith this. PS

My mom also tried this, was charged the $2.95, as well as $1.97 and then the $139.95. Called the company, they said they were unable to give the money back. She argued with the customer service representative, Jared, he eventually put her on hold and then came back to tell her that her money will be refunded. What a joke! If they tell you that you can't get your money back, keep complaining until they actually do it!

this happened to me too. do not trust these people. they are only refunding me $70.00. I am putting in a complaint with the BBB, and any other places that I can.

They said my account was cancel, and they sent me an e-mail with the cancellation greetings, with no name involve. they did not cancel my account. I did not check my credicard bill last mont because i have no buying anything, but today i see when i complain for my refund they said that i call different company and they have no reccords of my dca account cancellation call. i was charged last mont 139.95 and this mont $39.99. So when you cancel your account with DCA be aware with the company that takes your cancellation. because the phone number they post in the site to make the cancellation is one of their partners company and they fool you and take your cancellation, and then they said that you did not call the company in order to continuing charging you. I cancelled my credicard number and i am filing a dispute with my credicard provider and that DCA company.

My husband signed me up for this program because i was interested in online work. The enitre program was supposed to cost $2.95 according to what the ad my husband saw online said. Instead, they charged us $140. I called in last week and was told by "Cassiddy" that i would not be receiving a refund because i was "past the 5 days." When I asked to speak to the owner of DCA, cassiddy told me that she worked for a 3rd party billing company named ROI solutions. After saying that i asked to speak to the owner of ROI. As soon as i said that, she instantly changed her mood and gave me a full refund without any further delay.
It seems like i was one of the lucky few who actually did receive my refund. Hopefully, this information will help some of you other people being scammed get your money back. The economy is bad enough without scammers like DCA and ROI solutions taking what money we do have.

called in to ask about charges to my card that i had not authorized. A girl going by "cassiddy" told me that i had agreed to their terms and conditions and that i would not be given a refund since i had passed the 5 day trial period. I demanded to speak to the owner of dca and was told that it was not possible because "cassidy" worked for a 3rd party call center. I asked for the name of the company she worked for. She then said that she worked for ROI solutions and that they only handled the billing for dca. I then asked to speak to the owner of ROI, upon hearing this, cassiddy immediately offered me a full refund, canceled my account, sent me a confirmation email, and assured me that i would never receive another charge from their company again.
It seems like the moment i mentioned talking to the owner of her company "ROI solutions," the direction of the call changed completely and i was given everything i had asked for.
Apparently i am one of the lucky few to receive a refund from this scammer company. Hopefully this information will be of some use to the rest of you trying to get your stolen money back as well.

I also sighed up for this legit. work from home scam from DCA> I never received anything back and a few days ago a person going by the name Johnathan calls and wants me to give him my last for #'s from my Card and says they have my card on file, hows that for ripping people off, he wanted to send me something else for $29.95. I told him I have yet to receive the first kit, he said they'd send it right to me, as of this day Nov.1,2010 Nothing. Dorothy Bouse

the same as all above happened to me also!!! I called before the 5 days were up and they STILL took the $139.95 out of my account!!!!!
I am just amazed how I can recieve a comfirmation email stating that my refund was successfully processed and the the funds are released immediately and should post to my account within 7-10 business days...well it's been more than a month!!! still no refund...called again this morning and was told that they sent it to "Corporate" and they denied it!!!?????? How do they have a leg to stand on doing this???? sending out confirmation emails for refunds and then telling people that "Corporate" (whoever that is)denied the refund? If anybody is thinking of getting into this, FORGET IT!!!! Please don't!!! It's
flat out robbery!!! For that matter, the so called"terms and conditions" are llisted very tiny at the bottom of the free trial and if you don't scroll all the way down to the bottom(where nothing but these tiny words are written, and go ahead and click your button to begin your trial...well, forget it...the terms and condtions are not listed anywhere else. It takes you thru the trial process and never states another word about them!!!! I am so angry

Watch Out, Thank God I am broke because I noticed the DCA charges and had my bank block those transactions and since then, they are now trying repeatedly (7x's in last 2 weeks) to get the money via two other names which show up as ExcelPro and MkOnlinFrmHm on my bank. I am finally giving in and am going to just cancel my cards and get new ones.

I actually just signed up and paid 2.97 and also a 29.99 fee. I decided to look more into it and found this site.. WOW.. I am scared.. I called my bank and they said to wait for it to be charged on the account and then call thier claims dept. and it will probably be refunded back to me. in claiming a dispute with them. I then called the number that I called to say yes I want to sugn up for this and need the web page to be made for me. I asked for a refund and they gave me the number of 1-800-381-1681 which no one answered. I called the first number back which is01-888-392-2940. I told them I just signed up with in the hour and I want to cancel and I want a full money back.. The guy I spoke to which I believe his name was Kieth sd he couldnt give back a refund. I then told him.. I think he could and will.I then sd let me speak to a superviser, at that moment he put me on hold and came back about 5 mins later and asked if I was still there, I sd yes, and he said that it will be refunded back to my account and that I will see it in about 5 days. I advised I will be calling back again if I hadnt heard from them. I then took all my money out of my bank account and then transferred it to my savings until I can cancel my card and get a new one..They can send my monmey back, but I have blocked them from being able to get any more out. :) I am glad I found this site.. I really wish there was a work at home site but I give up.. I will work out side the home for now..
Thank you all for your posts.

DCA are a group of criminals and need and will be stopped in their tracks. I fell for this crap and was able to notify my bank to revoke any and all charges including the initial $2.97 charge. I have reported them to the FBI, FCC and no doubt to the BBB. Lets continue to advertise their fraud.

The same issue is going on with me right now. The only thing is I never even signed up for any of this. How they got my information I have no clue. What really sucks is the money that was taken was suppose to pay for my GED test which I am not able to take now becuz you have to pay for the test before hand. This is completely unbelievable. I'm so sick of hackers and scam artists.

I THINK IT IS NOT THE WRONG OF THIS COMPANY IF YOU GUYS WER'E CHARGED... FIRST OF ALL IF YOU WILL SEE THEIR WEBSITE THEY FOLLOW THE RULES TO PUT THE TERMS ANYWHERE ON THEIR SITE AND WHEN YOU SEE THE NEXT PAGE YOU WILL NOTICE A CLEAR PRINT ABOUT THE CHARGES AFTER 5 DAYS IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE OR NOT... LET'S NOT BLAME OTHERS WHILE WE SHOULD BE DISGUSTED WITH OURSELVES IF WE ARE TOO TIRED TO READ.. SHAME ON YOU GUYS!!!!

SAME HERE!!! I am filing complaints as fast as I can!!! How is it legal to advertise in flashing lights and colors that at NO RISK TO YOU you can receive info for a minimal shipping fee and then do your best to hide the fact that you will charge HUGE amounts above and beyond that??

The same thing just happen to me right now, I just got off the phone with the company. When I tell you, this is nothing but a scam. I don't see how they are in business or how they can do this to someone. The manager said that they can not give out last names, that I signed up for this and I need to deal with it. I have never ever received the worst customer service ever. She told me that I was lying and that she was hanging up the phone, and did just that hung up. They gave me a fax-number of 3108610206, stating i can fax my concerns into that number!! This is straight FRAUD and a SCAM!!!

I checked out DCA online on Nov. 7 and signed up for their $2.97 "trial offer." I have been rather fortunate I guess...I was only recently charged $69.40 and it was under Biz Mbrship on my bank statement. I called the toll free number because I NEVER read anything in the fine print about any further charges after the $2.97 and I am meticulous about stuff like that. The girl I spoke with "Katie" said she could take me to the website showing where it was stated. She canceled my account immediately and gave me a fax number that I could fax a request for a refund of the $69.40. If anyone would like it...310-861-0206. She said to include your name, phone number, email address and reason why you are wanting a refund. Guess we will see what happens now.

I guess I'm one of the latest to fall for this scam.I was charged .99 on 10/23 for a work from home link, as you mentioned. It wasn't until almost two weeks later I was charged $138.67 without my authorization.I called the toll free number posted next to the charge and it was disconnected. I then called the number posted next to the .99 charge. When I questioned why the second charge was posted to my account without authorization, I was hung up on three straight times. The fourth time I called, I explained to a sweet young operator about my situation, that I never authorized the second charge and wanted a refund. She apologized and said she wished she could help but there was nothing she could do. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold. About five minutes later, another person picked up the phone, said "have a good day" and promptly hung up! I, too, am "beyond furious." I'm a cancer patient looking for honest home income opportunities and was scammed. When I discovered all these complaints against Direct Commerce Academy. I knew I was doomed to eat the $138.67. May all the kingpins responsible for this heist burn in hell!

I was approached by these people over the weekend. When I tried to call their number there was no one to answe. Now the weekend covers 3 of the 5 days I am supposed to be able to start my business. then when I came to the web site to find outmore about the compnay. All I found were complaints about the company being a fraud. You can understand my concern I am afraid that they will take out the money that comes after the 5 day free trial and that would not be good. Is there any way to reach thee people. Why can we not go tothe gvernment and have them shut down?

Looks like I'm the most recent victim to this crappy company. I wish I had done more research, as I usually do, but it "seemed" ok since you get charged "only" $2.95 with no strings attached. They really need to put in bold all caps lettering that if you don't cancel within 5 days, this is how much we will be charging each month. I was lucky enough not to be charged the whopping $139.95 as most people but was charged half of that. I tried calling, like everyone else, and of course "Amy" told me that I didn't read the terms and agreement stating that I would need to cancel within 5 days to avoid any further charges. How many people need to say that this was not stated anywhere for them to admit it? I went to my bank and filed a claim so we'll see what happens.

I just became their latest VICTIM. Got charged for $139.98. I read the website when I signed up and DIDN'T see the "trial period" at all. I told them that when I signed up. I only received one email. I am so upset at them. They only agreed to give me $100 refund and said it will be processed in 7 to 10 days. I have also put a dispute for the amount to my credit card company. I am not sure what will happen. I am not a lawyer but can anyone help us??? We need to stop this scam! THey are advertising on yahoo and getting a lot of hits and "fooling' people. I really didn't see the "fine print" and I was looking for it too.

This company screwed me over bad! I had the same experience the rest of the bloggers have posted. Once I noticed the charge for 141.00 I immediately called my bank and reported fraud. An investigation was conducted and since I provied my card to DCA I was the one at fault. I never agreed to have my card charged 141.00!!!! I only agreed to the 2.95 and when I called and asked for a refund the bitch was rude!!!! This was a VERY expensive mistake to learn and I can only imagine how much money these guys have made off of people not reading the fine print!!!

I too fell for the scam, because I was low on cash and wanted to work from home. When I realized what had happened, I called my bank to cancel the charges. My bank gave me a the phone number that was next to the charge, after several calls, I finally got connected to a woman. I told her to cancel the charges, she said she would and that an email would be sent to me within the next 24 hours notifying me that the charge was canceled. It's been four days and I have recieved no cancellation. My bank instructed me to call them if I heard nothing and that they would reimburse me and take care of the fraud themselves. They also canceled my credit card and reissued me a new one, which I have already recieved in the mail. Still no cancellation email from the scammers.

I received my info from what looked like a personal message from a friend saying I would thank her for the info to sign up with them. I did only because of her e mail message to me.....They hacked into her mail or mine.
As of today they have taken over $ 101.00 from my bank account. I have filed a frad Claim with my bank and they are giving them the opportunity to refund my money.

Key Wealth Systems and DIRECT COMMERCE ACADEMY are both SCAM. They don't give you what they offer in the web. The hook web offer make money filling surveys and other things. This is nothing in common with what they have on their site. It is just some info about how to use adwords and a site link to a market place in www.
Also they don't apply the 60 days guarantee. I try that and no way. All assistant just gave me excuses. It's they same with direct academy.
SCAM SCAM don't fall on this. As I did it.

I was taken in as well. My bank refunded me the 139 bucks but they lost out. The company is from Belize which the u.s. cannot prosecute for fraud. The thing that makes me the most mad is that the link was on Yahoo's home page. I figured Yahoo would not let scammers advertise on their website. I guess, beware of everthing until you've checked em out.

I got a bill for 2.95. I couldn't find what it was for, but I paid it. They charged 139.95 to my credit card. I contested it and had it removed. They put it back on and I again contested it and had it removed. I also complained to the Dept of Justice, Indiana state. They looked into it and found the name of the company, Direct Commerce Academy.
Direct Commerce Academy sent me a message saying I did not owe them.
Indiana turned the complaint over to the Dept of Justice, Calif because Indiana Dept of Justice found the Name(Direct Commerce Academy) and that it is located in San Diego, CA.
I suggest that anyone getting a bill from the Direct Commerce Academy contact your state and Calif state Dept of Justice and give them all the info you have. Buddy

Unauthorized credit card billing after the service was cancelled. Monthly charges of 39.95 was billed to credit card for a year. On September 1, 2010, I enrolled in a 10-day free trial of Marketecture's eCommerce Business Solution through Direct Commerce Academy. A day before the 10-day free trial ends, I called Marketecture to see what kind of deal or promotion they may have for new customers if I chose to keep their service. The person I spoke with, Jason, was very nice and professional, he offered me what they call two for two...meaning I pay for two months and get two months for free. So, the promotion and the billing cycle will start on 9/11/2010 and will end on 1/11/2011. So, he gave me his personal/direct number and asked me to call him any time if I have any question or need anything. Before the promotion ended, I called Jason directly to learn about the 2011 pricing/promotion the company may have for us. Jason informed me that there is no more deal like the one I got on September and if I decided to keep the service I will be charged $39.95 a month. I made clear to him that I don't want to pay that amount every month and asked him to cancel my service. He tried to persuade me to keep the service and explain all the benefit I will get, but I confirmed to him that I don't want to pay that much a month for that kind of service. He confirmed that since my billing cycle starts on the 11th of each month, he set my account to cancel on 01/10/2011. So, we left it at that. Two weeks later, I was deployed to Afghanistan as a contractor for a year. This year when my wife and I started to work on our taxes, we learned that Marketecture continued to charge the credit card 39.95 every month for a service that set to cancel over a year ago. I called Marektecture to see what went wrong and to get a refund and learned that Jason no longer work there and left a year ago or so. I asked to credit my account for those charges and their reply was that they cannot refund the money because they don't have any record that I called and asked to cancel the service and need to go through my phone bill from last year and trace that phone call to give to them to prove that I called. I thought that was ridiculous from their part, however I longged in to my phone account online and found out that they could go back only 10 months-I called the phone company and they confirmed the same thing. I called Marketecture and explained the situation, but still they refuse to refund my money. One of the guys I spoke with asked why I did not notice the charges on the cards before? I explained to him that the card is a business card. My wife is an optometrice and we own two optmetry offices and we do a lot of purchases for the card on that card to earn miles and get reward points. So, we dont have time to go through all the charges every month. We go through all the charge every year when we do our taxes. There are thousands of charges on the card each
