Refund

US My daughter registered with a school for Certified Nursing Assistant. When she received her registration packet, there was a letter from the Program Coordinator, a registration form and her business card, nothing else. My daughter sent a check of $650.00 and the reqistration form by the required time (Aug. 1, 2009. A few days later the loan that she was told she did not have to go to another school came thur, she called the Program Coordinator on Aug 4, 2009 and left a message cancelling her registration, she thought she did so in plenty of time as the class didn't start to Aug. 17, 2009, it took the Program Coordinator several days to get back with her,my daugther had left voicemails and emails. The Program Coodinator said she was sorry that my Daughter could not atten her class and she'll send a refund. My Daughter waited for the check to be sent back, it was a check out of my account and a day after the email from the Program Coordinator, the check was cashed, Imagine my daughter's surprise when she was informed that because she did not write a letter to cancel she was not entitled to a refund, that cancelltions had to be received in writing no later than 2 weeks before class starts. My daughter never received any form of a cancellation policy and she emailed the Program Coordinator and informed her of this, the Program Coordinator sent my daughter a $350.00 check and a copy of the cancellation policy, which she never got in her registration packet. I sent the Program Coodinator a email informing her that my daughter never received the cancellation policy and now she is saying that we are hostile and threating and that the matter is closed. There was no service performed, so how can she justify keeping our money.
