Select Comfort US I am posting the response from the company to our complaint, along with my response. From the company: Thank you for contacting Select Comfort. We apologize for the delayed response. Select Comfort would like to thank you for taking the time and making the effort to give us fair, direct feedback on the performance you have observed as our customer. It is exceptional for a customer to show this level of constructive interest, and we are very aware of its value to any organization, most especially our own. Your comments have been forwarded to management for further review. Please do feel free to contact us again regarding this or any other matter. My response: It is the second time we have voiced this complaint. Neither my wife or I are overweight people although there is a 60 pound differential. Our mattress sinks in from both sides and does not perform the function of giving each of us individual control. We have to set the controls to try to even out the mattress. We are both uncomfortable and my back, which was much improved when we first bought the expensive mattress, is not good again. We were told by Select Comfort that "all mattresses do this eventually" and were sent a .25 cent piece of foam packing material which was useless. We spend quite a lot of money on this system and would have been better off buying a cheaper, conventional mattress system and then replacing it. I see your ads and read your emails and from our experience you are promising something that is not being delivered. Thanks for the "management review", but that does not solve our problem and I'm generally disappointed in the response from Select Comfort. With no solution forthcoming, all we can do is put our complaints on the various consumer web sites and hope that other people will not be as disappointed. In response to your question, I have no idea what my sleep number should be. It is whatever number minimizes the discomfort.
