My mother has been with Qwest Communications for the last 7 years. Last month she became seriously ill and we canceled her service with Qwest. A week or so later she received a check for $.55 - now she's getting a bill for $.29 - when I spoke with Brent and told him my Mom was in a Hospice - he told me that if she didn't pay that $.29 he would turn her over to a collection agency. Our family has been spending the last few weeks by my Mother's bed not knowing if she was going to live or die. We've watched a woman who loved life turn into a shell who can't feed herself, walk or talk. To have some idiot threaten to turn her over to a collection agency for $.29 is the most horrible, insensitive, idiotic response any company or representative could have given to a family under our circumstances. I asked him why they didn't keep the $.55 to begin with and he said that's the way they do it. I am so angry with Qwest at this point - I just want the people to know what kind of company they are dealing with. They last thing we need to be going through is a company who can't wait until everything on the account is figured out before they start sending out these idiotic invoices. For goodness sake - take the money it took to mail that invoice and apply it towards the bill. I will never, ever consider Qwest as our carrier. And Brent needs to have his butt kicked for being such a rude, insensitive idiot!!!
