US I made a reservation by phone from a number I found on line through hotels.com. Actually I thought I was speaking with the hotel reservation desk. They never told me the reservation was NON-Cancellable. In fact they told me to definitely make the reservation now as the rooms were going fast and only 2 were left for that date. When I tried to cancel less than 24 hrs later, I was told that I could cancel the reservation but the charge would still be posted to my credit card and could not be removed. No matter what the reason, there would be no refund.
