Cablevision / Optimum is the worst

My friends and I both recently moved into Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, literally minutes apart. For some reason, my friends were eligible for internet for $29.95 a month while I'm being charged $49.95 for the same service only blocks away! I wanted to post this and let people know about this ridiculousness. When I called customer support I said "basically, you're telling me you're charging people who live a few minutes away from me $20 less a month" and was told a flat "yes." Grrr! If you can, get a different provider because cablevision obviously doesn't care about its customers and charges different rates literally blocks apart.
