re: Maria Rebollar - Chase 3748 Mission Ave., Oceanside, Cal. 92058

Yesterday I went into the bank to open a new checking account.

I was told I could not open it without the letter inviting me. She said I should do all the paper work and bring the letter in later.

I told her I wanted the direct deposit to come from another bank and I gave her a blank check from the other bank. She told me she couldn't do that, I would have to go to the other bank and do it. Okay. She then called Social Security and asked that my check be sent there instead. I told her "NO, I do not want it changed." She then asked Social Security to send half of it there and the other half to the other bank. Both Social Security and I said 'No." This is certainly not worth the $100.00. Why I had to bring in the letter when the offer if on the web site, I do not know. I brought the papers into the bank today and canceled the account. I asked to speak to the manager but was told the manager wasn't there. The woman I spoke to told me she must have misunderstood me. She didn't.

I am sorry to lose Washington Mutual but will never have an account at Chase. All the Washington Mutual employees are gone and I never see a face I recognize. Maria Rebollars card says she speaks English and Spanish. Apparently she speaks English but does not understand it.

Sincerely,

Margaret
