Best Buy stores Best Buy Salem Ave. Dayton , Oh US Sir or Madam I am overseas with the US Army Corp of Engineers in Kosovo. I tried to file this complaint as your web site indicated but Security Certificates would not let me continue. My complaint is against Best Buy on Salem Ave, in Dayton Ohio. The below message is what I sent to their office and should explain my complaint. My wife can be reached at 937 836-7999 or her cell phone at 937 2461876. I can be reached via e-mail at dennis.l.jenkins AT eur.army.mil or dljbucks AT msn.com My wife can be reached at knjbuck AT msn.com "Sir or Madam I am presently serving overseas in Kosovo with the US Army Corp of Engineers. I purchased a Samsung LCD television from your Englewood Ohio Store several years ago. Two weeks ago my wife calls to tell me it is broke but still under warranty. She called your store and they sent a repairman to the house. He diagnosed the problem and said it could not be fixed. My wife was told by him and the people in the store that under our warranty she would be given money to replace the TV at the value we paid for it. Three days later she is called and told that they can now fix the TV. This is without even looking at it again. My wife is a naturalized US citizen but still carries a accent. I believe she is being taken advantage of because of her perceived lack of knowledge as a foreigner. As a customer you told us that the TV was not repairable. I accepted this explanation. I assumed your repair people knew what they were talking about when they said the TV was not repairable. Now I have very little confidence in your ability to repair it. You now claim to be wrong on the previous status of the TV so how can I trust you to be correct on your new assumption that it can be fixed. I want Best Buy to stick with their first assessment of the TV (after visiting and looking at it first hand) and give us the purchase price for a new TV as the warranty states. If this cannot be settled I will seek satisfaction through our Judge Advocate General (JAG) and the State of Ohio Attorney General's Office dealing with fraud.
