More importantly, after two months of trying to get the balance of my security deposit returned due to the difference in exchange rate, I was informed that no such return would be made. This client is an American her reservation for a cottage is in Canada therefore Canadian Dollars are used. Upon departure a portion of her security deposit of $400, $50 was held back for the cleaning. $350 canadian was returned to her. Due to the flucuation in the dollar, I am not accountable to give her any difference. The booking is paid in canadian dollars in Canada and returned to her in Canadian dollars not Americian dollars just because she uses Americian dollars in the states. As far as a dvd player I'm just hearing about this now she did not contact me during her 2 day stay to say it was not working. Had she contacted me I could have given her instructions on how to work it, it is pretty straight forward.
