I returned a dead battery with the receipt for warranty and purchase of new battery. The prorate was 50 months, so I should receive 25% of the purchase price twards a new battery. The first clerk did some typing and said I was not getting anything back. I said "I don't think so" and he told me I had to wait for the manager. The manager said I had neglected the battery so I would get nothing. Again I told him I should get the 25%. He finally gave me my warranty rate. I wonder if Checker trains it's personel to first deny all warranties and see what happens. I'll bet alot of people just say, "yah, OK" and pay the full price. I asked the manager if he owned Checker, or was he always just a hard nose.
