Program fails to update and will not allow product to be removed and reinstalled. [Support Agent] Hello! Thank you for contacting PCSecurityShield's Online Chat Support. How may I assist you? [User] I've had chronic problems with this software just a couple or three months after initial installation. The update stopped working so I uninstalled it. When I reinstalled the Shield Deluxe it would not allow me to register it with my Key that was emailed to me. [User] I ended up installing AVG back on to my computer. [User] This has been my internet protection since around last May. I'm deeply disappointed with this software and feel it is deeply flawed due to it's inability to update virus definitions and to allow re installation. [User] Due to these reasons it doesn't seem to make good sense to purchase 2010 edition. How can you make this right with me today? [User] What does shortly mean in terms of time? [Support Agent] (after over 10 minutes waiting) What was the exact error that you received? [User] I don't recall because it was last May I removed this software because it was having continual problems accepting updates and would stop and tell me the update failed. [User] I've just taken off AVG again and have tried to enter the key code and it doesn't work. [User] Never mind. I'll remove this software and go with another brand software. It doesn't appear that this company is interested in providing customer support. If it takes over 10 minutes to get a reply on the chat line they simply haven't hired enough staff to cover the needs of the consumers. What I read out of this situation is this company writes crap software and doesn't adequately support it by providing enough staff to handle the work load. I should get a refund for at least 75% of my investment since this software stopped working after three months and I cannot get any support. Have a great day. I'm really pissed at the lousy service.
