I cannot find anywhere else to send complaints for Holiday Inn so I am sending them to you. My sister got married in Woodbury, MN last weekend & had the grooms supper & reception at the Holiday Inn there. I do not use credit cards, so I called ahead to ask if I could use a check & the hotel told me no. I said no problem, I would use cash then, would that be OK. The hotel said yes. I got there to check in & was not allowed to check in as I did not have a credit card. I wanted to pay cash upfront for my room but was told without a credit card I would not get a room. I had to embarrass myself in front of my entire family & ask to use my brothers card so I could get the room. I chewed out everyone at the front desk & ask for the manager who was not available (of course). I am still very upset about it & will definitely not be spending another night at any Holiday Inn. If the wedding stuff wouldn't have been happening there, I definitely would NOT have stuck around & paid for a room that was irritating to stay in. Please realize that some of us out here that have money to spend for a hotel, do not use credit cards & live on cash (imagine that)! You need a policy for us. I doubt that you will as you seem not to care. I have had no other problems at any other hotels like this before.
