GOODWILL TALLAHASSEE = GREEDWILL

This is a complaint about ALL the Goodwill stores in the Tallahassee area. They just need to change their name to Greedwill. I used to spend alot of money in these stores and be satisfied, even thrilled with the good deals. Not so any more. In the past few years their prices have risen dramatically. It is not uncommon to find items priced above retail. Often they place chipped, cracked or broken items out for sale with equally ridiculous prices. The local 'ceo' has stated in writing that Goodwills' purpose is not to provide good prices but jobs, training etc. This insulting letter he wrote was in response to all the complaints lodged about the prices and it used to be posted at the cash registers but I guess they lost their nerve because they took the stupid letter down. They have forgotten that part of being a socially conscious member of the local community involves respect. They don't respect the shoppers who are often poor or struggling financially. I am a single mother who shopped goodwill for years but I don't any longer; at least not locally here in Tallahassee. I am sick of their attitude and their greed.
