I purchased a weather radio which was defective. I sent it back to the manufacturer and, after several replacements, I received one which, I thought, worked. The trouble was that I didn't want the radio to alert me all the time, but I couldn't turn the alert feature off. When I called the company and followed their instructions it still didn't work. I was finally told that I had to send the unit back and since it was out of waranty it would cost me $15 to fix the problem. I don't think I should have to pay more for what I should have gotten in the first place.
