Here is a letter I wrote to them summarizing my anguish with their services.

Dear Sir/Ma'am


I placed an order on 9/8/09 (48856325)

The order was returned to BUY.COM due to an incorrect address.


9/24 I asked about my item. I was told that it was returned and I was refunded. I was never contacted by BUY.COM for the refund. I spent hours on the phone trying to explain my case and but kept getting transferred to other departments. Finally I was told by a rep that I could receive a 20$ gift certificate to pay for expediated next day delivery.



When I went online to purchase my order I found out 20$ would only cover 1/3 of the charges. I requested to be given a coupon that covered the entire shipping or simply expedite delivery. I was told BUY.COM would send it to the specialists and contact me back after 2 days. I never received a call back. When I called back I was notified that BUY.COM can not expedite my delivery because I was given a certificate already.


I attempted to use the certificate and 30$ cash back for being accepted with BUY.COMs visa and I was not given the discounts. I called but to no avail. No one could resolve my issue. Customer service reps/supervisors never resolved my issues.


I ordered again time confirming over the phone my purchase would total 160.00. Today I receive my credit card statement and I learn that I paid 190.00 for my item! I call and ask why. I was told because I used another credit card. I understood that the 30$ was for applying for the credit card, not using it. Why was I told I had a 30$ discount applied when I was not infact receiving anything. So tomorrow I finally receive my x-box 360 after a month. I'm refusing delivery. I've tried for a month speaking to your outsourced reps trying to get my x-box in a timely manner and I am out of patience. The supervisors know nothing and resolve nothing. The reps just apologize and get confused. My experience has been awful and completely unsatisfactory. I wanted to share this with corporate in ONE LAST attempt to resolve my issue. I want the gift certificate/30$ cash back added to the next order (I'll use whatever credit card you request) AND I want expedited delivery which is fair being that I've waited over a MONTH for this item. If nothing can be done I simply won't order this item again. I've waited too long already and I don't feel like waiting another month. Please help my resolve this issue before I am left with a negative outlook on BUY.COM.
