steven sears steven sears US www.sears.com steven sears at sears.com gave us the return merchandise number for the washer/dryer combo that was returned as damaged in the original shipping container and the sales clerk at the sears store told us that the refund would be put on our credit card within one months billing cycle and so far we have not got the credit. I called the department manager in sales at the local retail outlet but he told me to be patient and wait until I hear back from credit sales. Now it has been 4 months and the sears store does not have the paperwork anymore. I tried 411 information but they gave me sears legal department in irvine with at steven sears as their attorney but calls to that office did not get me the right person to talk to. I just want to get a new stacked washer dryer unit so I can keep my small closet open during the day so not to get the lint into my living room and kitchen. The repair people said that the size will only fit a SEARS KENMORE model and not the Maytag that was there before. Now the size has changed at the Apartment Manager will not let me route the vent to the exterior of the building. So, all the lint builds up in the small closet and the place smells like fabric softener and mold. I am worried that mold will cause my 2 young children to get allergies or astma or some bronchitis from inhaling all the lint dust. My cat too is showing signs of fatigue from lying in the closet in all the lint that stays warm after we finish drying our clothes. I don't even use a smoke detector amymore because all the dust sets off the alarm and I don't want the FIRE DDEPARTMENT to be called with all the dust looking like smoke. sears should fix the problem and not charge me for the service call or call a repair company at their expense that can look at the problem and have some knowledge of repair work and be a licensed contractor. I have shopped sears for years and they have always treated me well and I like the local sales people but just the legal department at the headquarters are not too oriented towards solving customer complaints.
