Sears Appliance Master Protection Warranty

I purchased a dishwasher approx. 2 years ago from Sears. I also purchased an additional 5 year Master Protection warranty. I am moving and will be leaving the dishwasher behind, so I called today to cancel the remaining additional protection. I was informed that they would only give the money in a refund to the credit card that was used for the original purchase. I explained to them that the account is closed and no longer valid. "This is our policy", I was told. They will send the money to the closed account, and they believe that the money will eventually be sent to me. "It should be, but I don't know" is what I am told. WHAT IS THAT!!!! I am in possession of the dishwasher, I have answered all their questions on who I am, I am still at the original address, now why can't I be refunded the money!!

I have gone through several people already at Sears, and this is their policy. Well, buyer beware.
