We answered an ad and was hired to update and maintain their website, I worked only 20 hours before the red flags began to wave strong. I resigned immediately when the owner, Kim Scarmozzino began to show signs of some real unstableness. She continues to refuse to pay me for those hours I worked and has blocked my email and phone calls. I filed complaints with BBB and AZ Labor Department and she has refused them as well, both departments have advised me that this is not the first complaint against them.

I am very glad that I did not give her my personal, i.e. social security number as she insisted because after some research about the company and the owners I found that this was not the first time that she has done this. Just because it is for work, it may not be a good idea nowadays to give away your personal information before truly checking them out. Now looking up their names on the internet, I am finding some very disturbing things said about them.

Jim wanted my husband to be a sales person but we were putting that off until a later time because he came off too much like a sales person with no integrity, thank goodness or else he would have worked and not been paid for his hours as well.

They have only had very few employees and from what we are now finding out, over 75% had the same complaints, not being paid. Not just employee complaints either, there are many of their clients who have paid for a service they are not receiving and many of their accounts are not being paid.

They are not people who say what they mean and mean what they say.

In the past few days, I have received several emails from people who do not wish to put their names out there due to fear of retaliation from Jim & Kim Scarmozzino. They have disappeared and no longer can be contacted. These emails are expressing that they gave them money to list their vehicles and have yet to see any results. One email expressed that their home was foreclosed. Another stated they were paid to drive a RV to a location by the first of March and have not been heard from since. Another said they worked for them, and just found out that even though they took the taxes out of their checks, they did not pay the IRS a dime and now they owe them weeks of pay. These complaints are not just from employees but also from customers of theirs who have been scammed.

Jim claimed in his rebuttal that the appropriate authorities were notified. That statement is true but they were notified by me against them.

THIS IS NOT A JOKE, THESE FOLKS ARE CRIMINALS! Please…if you have any dealings with these folks…beware!

I have had dealings with these "people". They manipulate and lie like pros. All I can say is, where there is smoke, there is fire. You can see various complaints about them, and their service online. Through out all of the online work they have done, that website does not help sell cars.

I can ask one question, how many people have called them for repeat business? NONE.

The claim that their service, generates specific google tag hits. But you can do that off of Craigslist. If you use a heading such as. " 2001 Ford Explorer, Green, 75,000 miles" on craigslist, then look up that exact title word for word on google... That is what comes up. They don't understand basic web uses suck as SEO and Alexa. The site itself looks like something a high school student could have made on Geocities 10 years ago.

On top of that, they don't have a successful business model. Between what Jim spends on gas and what it takes to pay appointment setters, there is no real money left over.

They don't pay, because they are broke. They both have tooth decay and live in an disgusting hole full of dirty animals. Jim is a user of multiple substances and Kim is a crazy as they make them.

There is a place for people like these two. It's called hell. I know you guys are reading this... Dress light. It is warm down there.

I have yet to receive our payment for work performed. They continue to make accusations that they have turned over this matter to the appropriate officials for possible prosecution. To this day, I have not received ANY evidence that they have done anything. I on the other hand have made a complaint with BBB, the State Labor Board and other means to attempt to receive my payment that is due to me. They continue to refuse to answer any of these requests. I have been informed that if they do not respond by a certain date, then I will be awarded 3 times the amount owed to me. If they refuse to pay that then I would have to continue taking them to court until they finally pay. From what evidence I have gathered, there are many other debts they have not paid so I do not feel this will ever be resolved. They are the ones that have to look in the mirror every morning and know they are not living a truthful life.

It's amazing how words were put onto paper by them but nothing was actually said besides some sales mumble jumble.

The facts are: I worked 20 hours for them and they are refusing to pay me for my hours worked...period.

Their comments about "possible prosecution" are ludicrous, the only possible prosecution would be towards them for their refusal to pay me what is rightfully due to me. I have not heard one word from any possible prosecution from them, just another excuse not to pay their debt.

During a conversation with Kim just after being hired, she wanted to get personal and began talking about her religion. I asked her if we could stay strictly on a business level, she began again trying to sway the conversation towards personal matters, she began talking about her strained relationship with her husband and how she was concerned about their financial matters. That is when I knew it was time to get out. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but my gut was right when immediately she began coming up with one excuse after another not to pay me and continues to do so.

Those are the facts and for them to use possible prosecution of me as an excuse for not paying me is just nonsense. I have not done anything that would even begin to warrant any prosecution. I have attempted to contact them and they have blocked all my communications to resolve this matter without taking it to the next level.

The only reason I am pursuing this so strongly is not about the money, even though it would help us, it is more about them getting away with the same thing time after time, it has to stop.

This matter has been turned over to the appropriate officials for possible prosecution, and a thorough record of communications between ourselves and the complainant are being reviewed; none of which bears any resemblance to the assertions made on this forum.

We are not alone in experiencing the impacts of the recession, and when it comes to the high end collectibles that we represent, our customers would prefer to receive a fair price for their investments rather than take less. In a good market, this is not easy, in a depressed market, it is harder still.

Regardless, the market is recovering and we will continue to provide our services to our clientele.

We had problems with 3 employees who we hired at the same time from Craigslist last year. In that case, we did not have an effective portal by which individuals could work virtually as we do now. We do not believe that the problems we experienced with these individuals were criminal at the outset, although, in regard to actions and behaviors that ensued from that association, whether criminal charges are to be applied as a result of this case will be determined by those with the expertise to assess such matters.

The situation presented by this complainant has been the catalyst for us to deal with that matter, as well as one other, and although these types of problems are distasteful, we can not allow this sort of thing to continue, as service to our customers is our first priority and this sort of thing has been problematic for us for too long, which impacts our ability to give 100% of our attention to our customers who deserve all that we have to offer.
