Got my first card and tried to activate three weeks ago. Name was wrong, but online instructions said to enter name as on card. Card would not validate. Customer service advised to contact school. Did that and school advised they tried to provide correct spelling three times. Got a call from Higher One customer service five days later and they advised card was on its way. Got card and was unable to activate. Customer service assisted and got activation. Only hang up then was they could not transfer funds to my checking account unless they had a signed request that had to be sent "regular mail." So mailed the signed form on a Saturday. Higher One says it will take "five work days" to process when received in New Haven.( I live 40 miles away) Looks like they get another week to absorb the interest, while I pay the government interest on the loan for a month when I could not access my funds!
