5 years ago a had dentures made by Dr Kasem for $5500.00.The lower denture loosened up so I called his office.They told me to come in,I would need a "realign" for $250.00.When I got there the Dr says "a new technology has come about since" and I need posts put in for $2000.00.I honestly told him I could not afford this now,can we do the realign.He said he could but would only last 1-2 years.I said ok;by then I could have money to do posts.

1 month 4 days the lower denture is loose again so I call office and ask why.I was told to come in again,which meant another day off work.I asked his secretary could I ask the doctor what could be done so I would not have to lose work time again.Dr Kasem gets on the phone,"says he was listening in" and immediately was rude and defensive about his work and procudeures.He told me "to use denture adhesive""he doesn't guarantee nothing"

I explained that his assistant told me to not use that,it damages the denture.His reply was that "it will kill you" I didn't understand that.I asked him why he was being so rude to me since I never raised my voice or used and foul words to him.He keep going off stating"I know what I am doing","they spent all day in the lab,you didnt see it","I dont need customers like you","go to another dentist"

and hung up on me.If this is not a code of ethics issue I do not know what is.

I know times are tough but why would I reasonably spend $250 for something that would last a month. Denture adhesive is way cheaper.Plus I never got a invoice for the work done.

I would expect a refund AND a wriiten apology from this dentist,but given his attitude it wont happen.Next time I will do my homework and use a professional ethical mannered licensed DDS or DMD;not a BDS.
