Macy's is Money Hungry

Beware consumers!! Macy's is not customer friendly, and they don't care about their employees. During the financial crisis at the beginning of the year, the company laid off over 1000 employees, but still found enough money to give bonuses to upper management (at least that's what the evening news reported). Where did that money come from? It came from the consumers. I am a former Macy's employee. Fortunately, I got out before the lay-offs. I do still have a Macy's store card and a Visa card through them. Or, I did, anyway. They jacked up my interest rate, and when I called to negotiate it, they were completely unwilling to work with me. They also let me in on a few secrets. They're going to be changing everyone's rate to 23.9%, regardless of your status. They also have absolutely no grace period for late payments (even when it's their fault they posted the payment 1 day after the due date). I closed my accounts, and I will be transferring my balance to another bank. I will no longer set foot in a Macy's store, and they will not earn another penny of my money.
