Chevy Cobalt Cable Dahmer Chevrolet 1834 S Noland Rd Independence, MO 64055 US www.cabledahmer.com I signed a contract for a 2006 Chevy Cobalt in Oct 2005 through Cable Dahmer Chevrolet. I was 21 at the time and was getting my first car. I was to pay $351.62 every mnth for 4 yrs per the contract. This year I have just found out that I signed a SmartLease agreement and have to either give the car back 10/30/2009 and pay any wear and tear or overmileage on the vehicle, payout $6100 or refinance the vehicle (if approved) I had no idea what a lease was until this year!!! I feel like I was taken advantage of because of my lack of information. My salesperson at the time had to have been well aware that I was under the impression that I thought it was a car loan. I didn't know the difference. I contacted Cable Dahmer several times and I even contacted the president of the company Carlos Ledezma. They refused to do anything about it because I "signed the contract". I feel as if the salesperson's tactics were very deceptive. I wouldn't want to do business there again nor would I refer anyone. They told me the car was so new, they didn't have a replacement part and I ended up waiting almost 6 weeks to get a brand new car back. No offer was made to just give me a different car. Of course, that was strike #1 with them. Strike #2 was when I started complaining about the horrible gas mileage that I get with this vehicle and Marty Dahmer just turned a deaf ear to my complaints.....didn't even respond to a letter to him. Since I paid cash, they really don't care. Strike #3 was when I made an appointment to have the oil changed so I would have to sit and wait, since I was recouping from a knee replacement, and even though I had the appointment, I still ended up waiting 90 minutes and only because I got really loud, did they finally take my car and do the oil change. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER would I purchase another car from these people or would I purchase a GM car.....will stay with a Honda from here on out.
