Direct TV Direct TV US http://www.directv.com When we moved, we wanted to switch as many of our services to one provider as we could; Verizon offered us a bundle that included cell phone, home phone, DSL and Direct TV. The Direct TV appointment was for a Saturday, between 8-12 AM. He showed up at 12:30 and worked until almost 5 PM. The three TVs all worked at that time... Monday night, we go to turn on our amazing new TV service only to discover that it was "searching for signal". I followed the on-screen prompts, then called for service. I spent twenty minutes trying to convince a robot that trees were not blocking my dish, only to have a human come on the line and ask me the very same questions. These were the same questions / suggestions from the onscreen menu, by the way. Even after I explained to the human that the service WAS JUST INSTALLED he wanted to me to go through all the steps! We were finally able to schedule a service appointment for THURSDAY AFTERNOON...meaning no TV for the week, missing the MLB playoffs plus our favorite shows. By 6:30 PM on Thursday, I began worrying that the service technician was not going to make it, so I called...only to be told that the robotic messaging service had canceled our appointment! I guess if you hang up on a robot, it cancels your appointments! Now we are waiting until Saturday to find out if we are going to be able to ever watch TV in our house.
