Land Rover

Well, here we have a Range Rover Vogue TDV8 2006.

The story started in April 2009 when the Big end decided to knock;

Not a problem it is under Warranty.

So of the vehicle went to a dealer for a new engine .

It came back one week later, went out the following morning and found diesel pouring out of the engine. Little man in white van came out and stated that the vehicle had to go to a dealer. So off it went on break down truck. We had to wait for parts. One week later she is back. I am off to work , feeling really good to have her back .

Short lived in the outside lane on A303 in traffic ping limp mode had to find somewhere to stop fast,

switched off engine, restarted and off we went 4 more times. So out came a little man In a silver van scratched his head and off to a dealer.

We will give it a software upgrade that will fix it . Back it came this time I looked at it in the morning and went to work in the Toyota safer. In the evening I thought ‘stop being stupid, drive it. She will be ok’.

So decided to take the wife out for a romantic meal it broke down 6 times before we got to the restaurant .

This time they didn’t bother with a little man straight to a dealer .

Don’t know what they did as I was told just had to twig with something .

4 days later she is back by this time I have fallen in love with the Toyota but thought RR is back so should use it.

Yes you guessed it 100 miles later limp mode back to dealers didn’t see car for 2 ½ months.

Dealer said she would be ok as land rover big boys have been out and fixed it.

So here we are looking at my RR is it really fixed so off for a test drive yes it works. Down to the pub for a pint to celebrate ( all my mates taking the P..)

Following morning off to work said ‘good by’ to the Toyota and told her the relationship was over as the RR was back in my life.

Had to go to Gatwick airport 15 times limp mode but had to get there and back urgent .

This time customer care wanted it to go to a different dealer so of it went .

One week later all done new turbo pipe. Great, this time Toyota told me to bugger off and stayed with the wife .

She was back for 3 days and ping limp mode back to the dealers new injectors and back 1000 miles great no ping.

But diesel pouring out of the engine by the bucket load.

Can anybody give me some advice on this please.
