Dell Repair

Dell Inspiron 1545 Dell 7909 Northcourt Rd, Ste 500 Houston, TX 77040 US www.dell.com After owning my laptop for approx. 30 days, the LCD began to internally bleed. I called repair and sent it in. Only to receive a call a week later, stating that the repair was out of warranty. How is that possible, when there should be a manufacturer warranty on the laptop? They sent to the out-of-warranty dept. to be repaired, where they attempted to extort approx. $500.00 from me for a new LCD. After mentioning that a similar thing happened to a business laptop at my company and a technician came out to repair at No Charge, they reversed the charge and said they'll repair. It seems to me that DELL treats their Business customers better than their Personal User customer. So now, after a month- I still don't have my laptop and everytime I call- they say it will be this week. Well - I can VOW that I wil NEVER purchase another DELL again. Their loss, because I've given them thousands of dollars in the past 15 years of being an equipment purchaser. TASHIBA - I hope your Customer Service and repair is outstanding. 15 years ago I vowed I'd never buy another GATEWAY (never did again) and today I Vow to never buy DELL (and Never will again). Please take this as advise to those purchasing Dell. You will get sent to an outside company for Repair and Customer service. Let's keep our job in the US. Dell you NEED TO CHANGE FAST! Next, finding attorney to file extortion charges and not adhereing to their own warranty policy.
