Sony KDS-5DA20D0 Sony US www.sony.com/tvsupport Bought Sony rear proj. TV 1/28/07 TV would heat up then shut down,called Sony they said they would send out a tech.Tech came out said it was the bulb, installed it shortly after he left tv shut down.WE told him the fan was making noise.He came back again agreed it was the fan.after changing the power block which he mickey moused by soldering a different connection on. Then he said he neededto take to his shop .He then called and said the fan was on backorder and would take weeks to come in.My wife called Electroic Repair Specialists in Derry NH (she bought a bulb from them)he looked up the fan number and said it was in stock and could have in a day.Called the Sony tech told him to return the TV to us which he did.I then took the TV to E.R.S in Derry NH they hooked it up to a computer and it came up with 62 errors for the fan.He relaced the fan and the power block which Sony's tech screwed up.Sony told us they would not pay for this $405.oo We tried to explain that there tech knows nothing about TV's but they could not open a new P.O for this so we got SCREWED! My wife then got ahold of the warranty co.and Sony on the phone at the same time when she told them she was not happy being without a TV for a month and Sony's tech knew nothing, that we should not have to pay out of pocket and that she was calling the BBB to file a complaint the Sony rep hung up on here while the warranty guy said he was sorry but there was nothing he could do.So we are out $405. and filling a comlaint with the BBB and talking to our lawyer.
