Sears Craftsman Gas Blower
|
Sears US I have bought 2 gas blowers from sears. The first quit working while still in the first year warranty, not realizing it was still in warranty, I repaired it. The cylinder came loose from the crankcase and allowed it to run too lean causing it to get hot and score the cylinder, I replaced the ring and honed the cylinder, it ran good for a while then died. I figured this was just a fluke, so I went and bought another just like the first. I also bought the service policy just in case this one bit the dust like the other. While it was less than a year old it quit, took it to the Sears service dept. and got it repaired. it ran for the rest of the season. This year I started using it and it quit and refused to start, OK no problem I still have a service policy on it. I took it to sears repair dept. They called me and informed me that it was going to cost me 70-80$ to repair. The tech said that it had been under lubricated, meaning I had not used the right oil or enough oil in the gas. I informed them that I have used their craftsman oil and I use it in all my 2 cycle equipment and I haven't had any trouble with anything but the 2 Craftsman junk blowers. I know that it won't do any good to tell Sears that I won't be back, and that I won,t be buying any more Sears anything. Craftsman used to be a very good afforable brand of tools and equipment, now it's JUNK From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Sunday, 18-Oct-09 14:15:36 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
