white westinghouse iron

I'm a homesewer so I've bought a lot of irons! I would have to say this is the worst so far. This iron scalds or pours lots cold water on my hand everytime I lift it back to the upright postition after ironing!I can never even fill it to the max. line, it's very irritating especially if I use fabric that watermarks easily! I can't find any email addresses for their irons to complain. I can't get my money back from the store because it was on sale.
