Sirloin Tips Omaha Steaks Omaha, Nebraska, US omahasteaks.com I had purchased a box of sirloin tips and removed one package in my refrigerator to defrost. The packaging burst and blood leaked all over my refrigerator. The strips were now gray and totally devoid of juice. Understanding that they have a 100% guarantee, I tried to return them to the retail location where I purchased them and was told that they had no record of the transaction in their computer, that I had to call Customer Service. I called Customer Service and was told that it was common for the packaging to burst, that the product was fine (gray??) and that they also denied any record of my purchase. They stated that the only way they would honor their guarantee is if I cut off the side of the box that I purchased them in with bar code etc., and sent it back. This seems like an awful lot of grief to the customer to get thier "guarantee" honored and implies that I did not purchase the product. I do plan on sending back my box top, but do not feel at all satisfied with their "customer service". I have spent many hundreds of dollars with that company and they conveniently deny any record of my transactions. They certainly have me on their mailing list...The retail store told me that the same thing had happened to another customer and that they could do nothing about it. Buyer beware!
