Long Delivery Time

I dropped off a 3lb package at a UPS store on Oct 6 '09 that was headed to Chino, CA(from Houston, TX) via UPS Ground Service. Ground Service takes 3 days. It is now Oct 16, 8 business/10 calendar days later and the package has not arrived and is still "in transit". And to make things worse, the package left TX, got to Arizona, and was sent backwards to TX again before it went to CA. I know it will get to CA sooner or later, but why the long delay? How does that make sense?

I paid for 3 day Ground Service to CA using their trucks. I did not choose the 2 week, 4 horse drawn stage coach shipping option.

This is inexcusable and ridiculous.
