Yesterday I called My suppossedly Friendly verizon operator after being transfered and talking to no one that could help (sorry wrong department) I was finally put through to customer service (what a joke) We have been experiencing Harrassing phone calls that are scaring my wife. The operator has caller I.D. new I was calling from the home phone, after giving my name home phone account and address I tried to explain my problem. These calls were really scaring my wife! The operator Monique R. from the Texas call center she said that I either had to give the alternate # on the account or the amount of the last paid bill before she could anything. I found that interesting since that don't request that for pay-per-view event so they can take my money without any verification but can't help us when the is some freak harrassing my family. We only have one phone and my wife pays that bill so I didn't know the answer after telling this operator that we were getting harrassing and scary phone calls she said that there was nothing she could do unless I clould answer her question. She was very rude and completly uncaring of my situation I requested to talk with her supervisor I was put on hold for OVER 20 minutes with her coming on line every couple of minutes and saying still waiting then putting me back on hold instantly with out asking me or seeing if I needed anything. Then she came back on the line and ask if my wife was there. Since I couldn't answer these question my wife would know this really set me off. Finally someone claiming to be a supervisor came on the line I ask his name he said Nick I then ask him for his agentr or work I.D. so I could document who I was talking to he then said for security reason I can give you that. Then I ask his bosses name again he said for security reason he couldn't give it out either. Since I work in the customer/phone industry I know that everyone has an I.D. so if you want to write the company and tell them how good they were they offer the I.D. right away. Then after my explaining the situation about the calls and how they were scaring my wife and pretty much ticking me off, I was then told yes that they would help me but it would cost me additional charges, for a call blocking. This sent me over the edge how can this company charge us0 for the security and welfare of my family. I then said That I didn't want call block on I just wanted that number blocked. Then Nick said he would do a one time offer where he would give me a credit on one of the other service on my bill for 1 month, and we all no had bad they are on charges for nothing. I ask him as a supervisor he should be able to waive that fee because of the situation. He said he couldn't which makes me believe that I waited on the phone for 20+ minutes only to be tranfered to the representative next to her (Monique R.) and not a supervisor. I am a commander of a Veterans of Foreign War Post and it really hit me in my gut to know that the Country in which I fought for nhas a company that would make money off of the the exploited and terrorized without batting an eye> This truly shows the greed of company's like Fios and Verizon Wireless. SHAME ON YOU AND THE PEOPLE WHO IMPLEMENT YOUR POLICY OF MONEY BEFORE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. I truley hope that both nick/ monique and the CEO of this copmpany read this. Is that why you won't give Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen,Marines, and Coast Guard over seas fighting for our FREEDOM, Safety of America, and their lives, free phone service for them to call their loved ones (wife,Moms.Dads,Sons,Daughter, and friends) Because YOU FIOS VERIZON WIRERLESS don't care!!! I hope all those meeting that you attend all over the world have great cocktails and diiners that you chock on.
