Bob's Discount Furniture & Goof Proof Plan

Watch out when you buy Bob's Goof Proof Plan. I bought my bedroom set and other living room furniture from them early this year. The sales executive sold me the Goof Proof plan saying it protects me for 5 years from all small to big mishaps, such stains, breakage, etc and for as many times it may happen over 5 years.

Few days back we had a stain on our dresser and a small chip on night stand. I call them and I was forwarded to Guardsman Protection. Then, they wanted me to fill a form and mail it to them, an unnecessary lengthy process.

I did that and I got a call from them saying they would not fix it, but will offer me small settlement amount or replace that part...but in both cases, my protection plan end. If they cannot fix a small thing, what would they do with bigger things?

I understand the fact that they gave me two options, but the point is the plan was supposed to protect the furniture for 5 years. They did not fix the small problem but chose a cheaper way out. I asked them why they cannot fix it and the only reply they had was the options are at their discretion.
