Sony Vaio VGN-TZ Laptop

Sony Vaio VGN-TZ290 Sony 16530 Via Esprillo San Diego, CA 92127-1708 US http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?PRODTYPE=1,24,26,66,9,70,5,72&template=EN I purchased a Sony Vaio VGN-TZ290 laptop. (serial no: R5XXX052 Product code: 28XXX467). After I bought it in US I turned back to Turkey. Then Sony Service in Turkey wanted me to bring it for TZ-series control. Two weeks after I received my laptop, a vertical strip emerged on its screen. I took it to the service and they did not accept any responsibility about it. And they said if I had an international warranty they would absolutely fix my LCD screen. And they added that all the problems except for the physical damages could be fixed within Sony warranty if I could send it to US Sony Service. Although I wasn't convinced about not taking the responsibility of Turkish Sony Service (because I almost used my laptop at my home at nights since I have a desktop PC at my work, and the only thing that happened to my laptop was the TZ-series control in Turkish Sony Service), I decided to send my laptop to US after getting the same advice from Sony UK service (case number 3928199). I wrote to Sony US, they advised me to send them the PC, and they gave me the address of the authorized Sony service and even told how I can pack my laptop safely. Anyway I could send it to US Sony Service with an expensive shipping cost because I had to insure it. And after whole of my effort to send it I heart that they can not fix it within the warranty. Their reason for this is it was my fault; my laptop must have been exposed to physical damage. I really can not believe this explanation. My laptop doesn't have even any scratch and they can claim that my laptop's LCD problem occurred due to a physical damage. How can they claim that even they do not have any proof? Also, although authorized Turkish Sony Service (http://www.cihanelektronik.com.tr/) and UK Sony Service told me that this problem could be repaired within warranty how US Sony Service can say the opposite??? Now I will never buy another Sony product and I strongly urge others to do the same. My experience showed me that Sony does not stand behind their products.
