42" LCD HDTV,1366x768pres Philips Philips Electronics North Amer 1 Philips Dr. Knoxville, TN 37914-9608 Knoxville, Te 37914-9608 US www.philips.com I retired from Lyondellbasell, Hq. in Houston,TX, on Nov.1, 2008. I received as a retirement gift, a Philips LCD big screen 42" TV. I sent the registration for the Warranty in plenty of time. Model#42PFL3403D/27, Serial#YA1C0823019151. I received ownership on 10/15/08.(one year warranty). The company that shipped this to me was Power Merchandising,Philadelphia, Pa. Ph.#262-743-2095.www.pmcusa.com Invoice#NA26440 It did not show a dollar amount because I did not purchase this TV but received it as a gift. Philips claim this invoice is invalid because there is no dollar amount. On 7/14/2008, I called Philips that a vertical line was showing on the screen. They gave me a local company to call for the repair. This was not forthcoming and another company was given to me to call. Same result. The warranty is for a year. I argued with them over the next few months with no result. They were stalling till the warranty ran out.Philips claim the warranty ran out on 9/26/2009. That is a lie because I have a Philips correspondence that reads; my warranty runs out on 10/15/09. This proves I received ownership on 10/15/08. Since I called back in July, 3 months before the warranty was due to run out, Philips claim is a lie. The original order for this TV went through Diamond H:Personal Recognition co, FT. Worth, TX Ph#817-332-6765. Packing #0658905.I talked to a Sondra, ext. 274,(Above named co.) who has tried to help but to no avail. Philips has deliberately dragged this out so they can claim by a lie, the warranty has run out. Consumer's Desired Resolution: Philips at one time before they disallowed my legal Proof of ownership Invoice, promised to have the TV repaired by a local repair coming, which as I have stated was not forthcoming. They then said they would replace this TV with a new one. Then backed out of this, when I found out this was a lie by talking to another Philips rep who claimed because my warranty had run out(a Lie), nothing was to be done. Philips has said the vertical problem with my TV will cause the TV to completely fail. I want a replacement TV as promised.
