magnavox tv won't turn on

I bought a magnavox 37MF 33ID/37 flat screen tv. after just over a year it stopped turning on. There areno authorized service contractors here so I had to replace this tv with a new one. The magnavox just sits there collecting dust. I have found numerous complaints about this model online but magnavox has yet to issue a recall.
