Applebee's Veterans Day Promotion

Applebee's Restaurants is promoting a "free entree for veterans" this year on their website.

The website specifies appropriate qualifying identification.

The website also lists several entrees, but does not specify that only these items qualify for the complimentary meals.

This is either a poorly designed promotion or a deliberate "bait and switch" tactic. Persons ordering "non-qualifying" entrees would presumably be denied the advertised complimentary meal.

Veterans wishing to take advantage of the Applebee's promotion should be advised prior to placing a meal order that they must make a specific request for the veteran's promotional menu.
