Walmart Balck Friday Advertised Specials Not In Stock!

Greetings, I went to Wal-Mart Store #3337 at 11PM EST November 26th to get a great deal on Kodak Easyshare CD82 Blue 12MP Digital Camera for $69.00. I waited in line for 4 hours until Ed (MGR) informed us that the camera was not delivered to the store and an equivalent will be offered. Sad to say the one offered was the Vivitar VT324! I informed Ed that was NOT equal to the Kodak and was many steps down in quality. I suggested a Nikon or Sony and was instantly told a stern "NO, Take it or leave it". But here's the funny part of this boggle, Ed did not make the call a but a store sales person did. Was further informed that it was NOT their fault they did not receive the shipment. So the liability stands with me? I thought the customer was always right in a matter like this? I do not expect anything for nothing but you would figure a step up not down on quality. Granted there was only 5 of us waiting, so why not resolve this in a way that we both could walk away happy. Our cry's fell on deaf ears. Take this or nothing. I think its sad when a store manager doesn't side with 5 lonely customers on a promise that the product would be there. If you look on the net you will find bad reviews on the Vivatar offered, not to mention you can buy it for $60.00 retail. So I left the store tired and extremely upset on how this situation was handled. Another unhappy customer. I may not have a recognizable name or a corporate account, but its the little guys like me that help that bottom line. I am sorry that I walked into Walmart with such high expectations. I am sorry that my nephew will have one less expected gift under the tree this year. I am sorry to vent like this but I thought you needed to know. It is just plain wrong.
