Customer Service Failure - Menards

My local Menards store arranged with another sister store in my metropolitan area to HOLD an Xmas lawn projector for me. I called and taked to that store's "Front Office." They confirmed they had it at their front desk and marked "ON HOLD" with my name on it. I drove 25 miles to the store and when I got there they announced they gave it away and there were no more at that store either. Their only comment ..."this is Unfortunate". No Remedial ACTIONS!!! No offer to find one at another store and have it shipped to my local store so I wouldn't have to travel all over the place again!Customer service has NO MEANING at Menards. They're there for the Quick Buck and screw you! When internal procedures don't work - no one does anything. As far as I'm concerned - if it costs more than about $5 .... I won't be getting it from Menards!
