kosher.com domain

The proprietor of KSR Enterprises Benson Altman purchased the domain name kosher.com from mail.com for $200,000.00. Prior to the purchase mail.com was selling the domain name to individuals for use as lifetime email addresses. KSR Enterprises purchased the domain with a clause stating that while they have a right to use it to sell food and are not required to issue new kosher.com email addresses, they are obligated to honor the contract of the previous proprietor of the domain and let those already using the domain for email to continue to use it. Initially they honored the contract, then suddenly they reneged and shut down email addresses to hundreds of users worldwide without notice.
