Please Read Before Buying from Eastern Digital Resources

On 7/14/09, I ordered a book from Eastern Digital Resources. When I received it, I discovered that I had been shipped the incorrect book.

On 8/21/09, I left a voice mail and an e-mail with the phone number and e-mail address provided to me on my receipt. I received no response to either.

I then called a second number that had been provided to me on the PayPal transaction receipt. Owner John Rigdon answered. After explaining my problem, Mr. Rigdon stated that he would send me the correct book, along with a return envelope for me to send the incorrect book back in.

By early October, I still hadn't received the correct book, so I again left messages at the company and with Mr. Rigdon. I received no response.

In early November, I got a hold of Mr. Rigdon, who stated that he was binding my book at that very moment, and he would mail it off to me the next day.

The following week, I still had not received the book, so I again called Mr. Rigdon. He hung up on me.

I left Mr. Rigdon an irate e-mail explaining that this was no way to run a business, that I was fairly certain his practice was illegal, and that I would be contacting the authorities if he did not provide me with the correct book or an immediate refund.

Mr. Rigdon replied with profanities, telling me that he would not give me a refund until I returned the incorrect book to him.

I e-mailed Mr. Rigdon back and told him that I did not trust that I would see my refund if I were to send his book back, and that it was his responsibility to provide me with the refund first, after which I would return his book.

Mr. Rigdon again responded with unprofessional language, refusing to give me a refund.
