My Refrigerator Freezer from Sears

I bought this merchandise plus two other appliances the same week This refrigerator lights malfunctioned in the night with the door shut and would not go off. The smell of plastic burning and melting woke me up. I went to the kitchen and opened the door to find the bulbs hot as fire. The shield over the lights are melted to the fact I can't use it. The refrigerator is melted over the lights to a disarray of plastic hanging down in tits like. Sears says they can't do anything but fix it and I am still scared of it doing that again. I want a different refrigerator. We have bought no appliances but Sears all our 57 years of marriage. We pay cash for everything. Is there anything You can do to help me?
