Integrascan background check scam

I ordered a background check for 18.95 from from Integrascan. The search did not return a record though I know it exists. I e-mailed them for a refund and they asked for the county the record is in. After I told them what county it was they said I apparently didn't read their coverage policy and that it doesn't cover that particular county and therefore I'm not eligible for a refund. Their coverage policy at the link they give before you submit your credit card information says that the searches are provided statewide for the state I searched and lists no counties in this state that are not covered, so it must cover all counties in the state. After I told them they are a scam and I'll report them on the internet I received threats that they will start a legal action against me as I violated federal law and Patriot Act, and committed an act of terrorism. I'm including the text of the e-mail string I had with them yesterday, it's worth reading to the end as it's really unbelievable. Here it is:

We make every attempt to notify our customers of the limitations of the searches we provided, as you may recall in the order process you acknowledged reading and understanding both the coverage policy and the terms of use agreement which provided disclosures regarding our jurisdictions and coverage of the product you selected, We make sure every customer Acknowledges reading and understanding this and dis-allow any purchase if it is not acknowledged with a checked box.

Please advise in what county and state the missing records are located so we can match it against our covered jurisdictions and we may be able to help locate the record within our coverge.

�I read your terms and conditions and coverage policy before I submitted my credit card information and I read it once again after what you wrote in your last message. It says NOWHERE in your terms and conditions or coverage policy that the county of Hancock in Maine is not within your coverage, in fact your coverage doesn't list any counties in Maine that are not in your coverage. How was I supposed to understand that Hancock county is not in your coverage?!!??!!!!??? With the information you have there you can state that ANY county in Maine is not in your coverage. If you don't refund my credit card your refund policy is a SCAM and I'll do my best to inform your potential customers on the web about that.�

This means that eater you were convicted and served time in a State Prison or your charge was a Sex Offense.

Very descriptive and concise and you have distorted it to fit your needs and now are threatening to slander us amongst other potential clients

Who would suppose that statewide means actually omitting some counties in the state?

I wasn't and am not going to make any slanderous comments about you, I'll just publish the whole story on the web as is: that statewide in the understanding of Integrascan means that it comprises even not all the counties in that state, and that Integrascan doesn't list any counties that it doesn't cover while it covers not all of them. That only Integrascan customer service lets you know that they actually don't cover all the counties though the notion statewide supposes it should. If you're going to further harass me with your attorney I'll report that too. Let everyone then judge on their own how good (actually how awful) Intergrascan record search and customer service is.�

Notes about him:

- He has an "f" (yes, that is "F" for failing) with the Better Business Bureau. Check out Integrascan at www.bbb.org

- He fails to comply with Section 605 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which states that resellers of personal data MUST allow opt-out in cases of identity theft. He disregards human safety entirely, refusing to do so.

- He misquotes the Freedom of Information and Patriot Acts (neither of which have anything whatsoever to do with his unethical behavior) and pretends they "protect" him. They do not. Do not let him intimidate or harass you. Remind him of Section 605 of the FCRA and ask if he is complying with human safety or committing criminal negligence.

- His "company" consists of he, himself, and him. That must be what "we" means in his emails. I have yet to see his "lawyer" in any State Bar Association; likely he, too, is simply Terry.

- He has not only refused to comply with human safety issues in removing sensitive data in cases of identity theft and online stalking, but is very dishonest, claiming to have "never received" documents sent to him. Note his dishonesty in other issues as well, refusing to stand by his "money back guarantee" and throwing out any and all excuses and accusations to avoid giving money back. Very rude and harassing; just read his email transcripts.

- Last but not least, REPORT HIM!!

what he is saying is true.I WAS ALSO ripped off by their so called warranty i was the person i inquired about and was convicted in the county i inquired about.
