Super 8 Motels bait and switch advertising

Since I'm a member of their Membership Card club, I received an email from Super 8 stating that if I booked a motel for 3 consecutive nights, the 4th night would be free. I was planning on a 5 night stay in Mountain Home, Arkansas, so I booked a room online. No special price showed up, so I assumed the free night would be credited when I checked out. I was wrong. That particular motel refused to participate in this program, so I paid for each night, without receiving a free night. I complained to Super 8, and was essentially told, too bad.

I feel that Super 8 pulled a "bait and switch" on me. If this particular motel refused to participate in this program, I feel I should have been told when I booked the room. Super 8 says that since I wasn't given the special deal when booking, that I should have known the specific motel wasn't participating.
