JVC DVD player never worked right
|
JVC DVD-VHS player/recorder JVC US This is a complaint about a poorly working "JVC" DVD player/recorder that was tempermental shortly after I bought it, I've owned it for about 2 years now, can't justify spending that kind of money again on another DVD recorder. The DVD player freezes or locks up constantly when I'm watching movies. The only way to get the DVD out of the player when this happens is to UNPLUG and then RE-plug in the device so so it will let me eject the disk! The picture and sound is also garbled whenever the TV is not turned on first. In that case you have to shut everything off and start over. Turn the TV back on, wait for TV to sort itself, then turn on the DVD player to RE-read the disk! If you stop the movie and switch functions on the TV with the DVD player still on, and then function back to the DVD player, the picture and sound is garbled again. The DVD player seemed to work fine for the first few months but it was summertime when I bought it "on sale" for $200.00, so I didn't use it very much. By the time cooler months arrived I used it more often and discovered how fragile it really was. I had owned a $50.00 DVD player that worked better. AND, "JVC" was of no help when I called about these problems! I bought the JVC model thinking that being able to record DVD's would be useful, but that feature is also clumsy to use. Basically, I'll never buy JVC products again and I certainly won't reccomend them to anyone else!
