16 ounce cup is really 14 ounce

Solo Cups US I poured a cup of coffee at a gas station in Rugby, ND into what was listed as a 16-ounce size cup. I couldn't find a lid that matched, then realized I grabbed a cup for cold drinks instead of a cup for hot drinks. From my Solo 16-ounce cold drink cup, I poured my coffee in a Solo 16-ounce hot drinkcup, and the liquid didn't fit. Even though both cups were listed as 16 ounce, it was clear one was bigger. I saved both cups, and when I got home I measured with 2 different measuring devices. What do you know. The hot Solo cup is actually 14 ounces, not 16 like the dispenser says. When you turn both cups over, underneath they each say "16oz".
