Lack of REAL Customer Service

I have had my Orchard Bank card for 2 years. Recently, I have been having issues with items on my card not going through in a timely manner.

The first issue I had was payments on my card not showing up for a while. I had never noticed the issue before so I called customer service to find out the issue.

I was told by the first customer service agent that it would take 9 days for the payment to be released to my credit account even though they had already taken the money out of my checking account. Ok, I'll give them benefit. Then after that time, the payment still was showing pending. I called again. The second agent told me it took 14 calendar days. Then proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't ever make more than one payment in a month.

I have called customer service in the last month 4 other times on various issues. Everytime I talk to someone there, somehow I have created the problem. I have yet to have something actually get resolved on the phone with an agent. I have had to wait for certain number of calendar days and how to work things out on my own.

I have been in customer service myself for the last 14 years. It has always been my job to make sure the customer is taken care of the first time. That a customer shouldn't feel like they have caused the problem even if they did. Lastly, that the issue be resolved to the satisfaction of the customer not just what the screen tells me to do. I cannot say that this is true for Orchard's customer service department.

Once I have this card paid off, I refuse ever to touch it again. Even in the case of an emergency this credit card will not even be an option.
