Verizon is gigantic beaurocratic mess

Verizon Internet Verizon Washington, Di 20036 US www.verizon.com Two years ago I lived in DC and had phone and DSL service from Verizon. When we moved out to NJ (where we are again Verizon customers), the DSL service told us that because we had owned the service for two years at that time we owned the DSL box and didn't need to return it. A couple months later we got a bill from Verizon for $83 for the DSL box. I called and the DSL people said no problem, we didn't owe it and took it off our bill. Then one year later we got a notice from a collection agency that we owed $83 to Verizon. I called and to make a long story short I ended up after an hour on the phone with two people on the phone, one from Verizon and one from DSL and the one on the DSL end was saying I didn't owe anything and the one on the Verizon end said I did, because the DSL people hadn't properly credited the Verizon people. So now I just got another collections letter after a year, in which I sent countless letters and emails that were never answered and I never saw a bill or anything. I also checked my credit report and it says that I owe Verizon $83. So what is the answer now? Verizon online never sent the adjustment, but Verizon online says that they already did. So I am just caught in the middle between these two entities that can't seem to figure out anything and don't talk to each other. This company is so annoying.
