Steve Barenfeld called my business 3 times. He asked to speak to me, that I was highly recommended. My secretary took down his info. The first thing I did was google his name. I had my secretary call him and ask if it was a sales call, he said it was not. I decided never to call him. That was last week. Today, I received a call and he spoke to another secretary, said he was "RETURNING " *MY* call, and he said my name. My secretary gave me the phone and I spoke to Steve.

He said that he did a local interview of a nearby grocery store anda found out that we came HIGHLY recommended. That they were doing this FREE cable advertising that they would do the production and everything, that they would put my business in this great magazine that I'd never heard of called American Home. Then he said that my customers could win a cruise and if they did, I automatically did. He said the cost would be 50 dollars. He paused. 50 dollars a week he continued. For how long was the campaign 6 months, (26 weeks) 1200? No, 1300 for 26 weeks. I asked him how long our company would be featured in the commercial "10 seconds" he said. I asked him if I could use my own video which I am working on, he said NO, that it's a video that showcases still images and that it promotes the magazine and has to promote the magazine.

I said, do you have any samples of work that you've done, can you send me a video, he insisted on meeting in person. I said, I wouldn't want to waste your time without looking at your media first, since I have a very special way of marketing and I won't accept certain formats and ways of marketing of my company. His voice went down an octave. He agreed to let me see the website, and then I told him that I had heard of Adco, he said "how? I've never told you about it" I said, I googled your name and read some negative things about it. He suddenly got quieter. Well, I'll be in town until tommorow. I said great, I'll let you know, and I took down his number

Steve Barenfeld Also called our business numerous times. Claiming that he is from McDonadls and wants to work out soemthing with our company for his employees at McDonalds. However, i don't think he realized what we are. We are a monument company. We erect tomstones for the deceased. He still wanted to make an arrangement. After several "NO'S" He kept trying to call us back. We googled his name, and we appreciste the heads up...Thank you.

This is a bunch of BS!!!! I myself worked for Marathon Marketing A.K.A National Broadcast Network A.K.A Doctors TV Network and Pharmacy TV Which are all associated With the magazine...Good Food Health and Wealth goodfhw.com I can tell you this first hand, they Work all over the country scamming small and local privately owned businesses under the guise of marketing! They range from Miami,Broward, Daytona,Orlando and Jupiter FL to various cities in TX and recently in CA. Soon to be in NY, and Oklahoma. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!! Its amazing how long they have gotten away with scamming hard working business owners in such a tough economy who are trying to stay afloat. Bringing in 30-50K a week scamming people for services that are never rendered or in some rare instances delivering the min. possible (by that I mean poorly put together add magazines that are partially completed and up to 8 months late on arrival. Hardly ever in Sponsored locations and NEVER ANY COMMERCIALS. In the years that I worked there I never saw one completed commercial for a client, never mind one satisfied customer.)If you have been taken by this company run a search under said business names as well as owner Fred Durham. There is a group putting together a class action law suit all you need to do is STAND UP, VOICE YOUR COMPLAINT AND MAKE A MOVE! ITS TIME THEY HAD TO PAY FOR THEIR LIES AND WELL ORGANIZED SCHEMES THAT RIP OFF INNOCENT VICTIMS!

Marathon marketing and media located in Miami is a scam. They ran this same type of scam on me and I am ashamed to say I fell for it. I'm now trying to get my credit card company to refund me a credit.

The company called Adco is in no way, shape or form the same company as Marathon Marketing & Media. Two similar concepts, but absolutely no connection. I can vouch for Marathon as an integrity-filled, true-to-their word company that has been operating successfully for ten years with virtually no complaints. They offer many things that are far superior to Adco. Please do NOT believe what is written regarding them being the same company. In deference to holding to the high standard of quality and integrity, I will not downgrade another company's lack of fulfillment. Suffice it to say that MM & M and National Broadcast Group offer 3 times the customer service, fulfillment of several more services than "the other company" and I am proud to have been associated with National Broadcast Group. They are based out of Miami, where Adco Media is based out of California. Nuff said!

Another guy did the same thing, a Lou Capolino but I didn't check the internet and signed up. What a mistake.

Magazine late and not always in the store and I'm still waiting for these supposed TV commercials. It's a waste of money and a rip-off.

Also beware of a guy named Lou Capolino. Also promised TV commericals and magazines in Shoprite and it seems to be a big scam. Do not do business with this gentleman or this company.

Just a heads up, looks like Adco is now operating under a new name "Marathon Marketing and Media". One of their reps showed up to my store in miami, florida with a slick short video presentation and offering a cableTV/magazine/internet package very similar to the one described here. No thanks, sent him away.

Buyer beware, looks like they just move from city to city and change names to avoid suspicion.

I took out an ad with them. The magazine was almost two months late being published. They say my tv spots will come in another 4 to 6 weeks. My web site has not had one single hit from the area I targeted. I recommend telling these people to hit the road and don't come back
