Sears Freezer Delivery

Kenmore Elite Upright Freezer Sears US I have a freezer that a Sears Technician says can't be repaired. I have a Service Agreement and under that they must replace it, including set up and delivery. The Technician was here on Thursday, June 11, 2009. I was called on the phone on June 13, with the authorization code. I went on line to find the replacement I wanted. I found 3. When I entered my zip code, I would get a July 2 to July 9, 2009 delivery date. That's over 3 weeks. This freezer is leaking on my floor. I called several stores. I called several Sears numbers. I went to one of the closest stores Sunday. Still couldn't get a delivery date until at least July. I started calling again this morning (Monday, June 15) and still the same result. Sorry for the inconvenience. I kept saying, it doesn't make any sense. Why that long of a wait? The last person I talked to at the Sears Customer Solutions Center told me that they could pick out another freezer for me that I could get sooner than July. I have the money amount to more than cover the one I want. I went on line again, I got all the zip codes for NC and started entering them for delivery. Finally, I thought I found one in Charlotte (5 Hours Away). I called and of course not in stock. However, when I explained the situation the lady put me through to her manager, Chris Vogel. He has been on the phone all day trying to help me. He could get the freezer delivered to the Raleigh warehouse tomorrow.(2 1/2 hours away) He explained that he was told, they only deliver to my area on certain days, and wouldn't deliver before July. He was very confused and concerned about this. He believes in Customer Service. He called me back for the final time, and he found me a freezer 20 miles from home. We may have to go and pick it up ourselves but he found a floor model. When I called, I was told they didn't have any. However, I'm waiting for a call from the store, to see about getting it today. I've been so frustrated about this whole thing. I asked for the money to go else where to purchase a new freezer but no. Anyone of the other sales persons or customer service persons could have helped me like Chris did. But no. No one else could be bothered. Because of the agreement I will get this appliance but there will not be another. I always thought Sears was #1. But not anymore. Customers do not come first. To think, I can't get delivery for almost a month, not because it's not in stock as I was told numerous times but because of where I live.
